Katy Tur on Her Philosophy Degree: 'It Allows Me to Ask Questions'
Tue Jun 6, 2017
A philosophy degree shows one's ability to read, understand, and write about extremely complex ideas. I would imagine lots of employers could use such a trained thinker. I know many who have earned a BA in philosophy and have gone on to top jobs in publishing, advertising, technology, and law to nam …

In reply to: djd103 #20 if a woman wants to have a baby, then she should move over and accept being passed up at work. This is completely off topic, but I can't help but ask: Did this woman have this miracle baby all by herself? Who is having any of the babies of the men in the workplace?
Kansas City Woman Turns Yard Into a Beach
Wed May 28, 2014
She can do what she wants to as long as it's within the local code, but I always thought the allure of sitting on the beach was looking at the ocean. In a suburban mid-west neighborhood, you really are just drinking your umbrella drinks in a hot sandpit. I think she may find it a bit roasty.
No Paternity in Baseball? What It Says About Manhood

In reply to: whynot-3744228 #32 you "had the Doc" put an extra stitch in? Seriously?!?! Were you trying to comment on how important it is to be there for the birth of your children, or did you miss the discussion last week on female genital mutilation and wanted to get your support in on …

This is a step in the right direction. It is time to end round, canary faced hegemony in the emojisphere!
Natasha Richardson's death 'was never real' for husband Liam Neeson
Fri Feb 21, 2014
Her tragic death saved other lives. Because of the media publicity about her accident and the medical condition, we knew to get immediate help for a family member who did not sustain nearly as obvious an injury but nonetheless suffered the same type of bleeding. He had several brain surgeries and is …
